    The first day of this clinic consisted of two unmounted groups. Topics included: focus techniques, goal setting, visualization, and energy management. The second day had three mounted sessions where exercises enabled riders to focus on the mental preparation, problem solving and debriefing of their rides.

    This clinic had three mounted sessions that were videotaped. Riders warmed up utilizing sport psychology techniques, jumped courses and then went inside to view videotape of their rounds.

    This clinic had an unmounted session on Saturday morning to introduce the sport psychology techniques. On Sunday afternoon the groups integrated mental skills into a variety of riding exercises on the flat and over fences.

    This clinic was co-instructed with Dick Widger and designed for medal finals preparation. This clinic included: a sport psychology session, course walks, riding medal finals courses and a work-off while being video-taped, and a video debriefing of each round with a judge’s perspective and scoring explanation.

    This is a foundation course in the Sport Psychology master’s program at JFKU. The class is designed to teach students the sport psychology techniques utilized in performance enhancement consulting with athletes.

    This course is offered as part of the master’s program in Sport Psychology. It covers athlete’s responses to injury; uses of sport psychology in effective injury rehabilitation; and benefits of creating a dynamic therapeutic protocol.
